Treating Nail Problems
There are myriad ways that nails and the skin surrounding nails (periungual skin) can become diseased and abnormal. Depending on the disease process, nails can become crumbly, pitted or ridged; they can be discolored or separate from the nail bed; they can take on abnormal shapes or fall out completely. The skin around nails can be inflamed or infected. Sometimes warts or cancers can grow on the skin around nails.
If you have a nail concern and desire guidance, make an appointment to see our dermatologist to have it properly diagnosed and treated.
